Ciarán Walsh
Ciarán Walsh is the Founder and CEO of esports team Phelan Gaming. Starting the team in 2016,
Ciarán set out to build an esports team that Irish Gamers could be proud of and would follow as they
competed across Europe. In 2018, are finally beating their rivals and becoming the best team that
Ireland had to offer, Phelan Gaming were accepted into Riot Games’ European Regional League(ERL)
for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Phelan Gaming are the only Irish brand competing in the ERL
system, competing each year in the UKLC tournament. The UKLC is made up of some of the best
organisations that the UK and Ireland have to offer including, FNATIC, EXCEL Esports and of course
Phelan Gaming. Ciarán was able to build and achieve all this while completing his Bachelor of
Engineering in Software and Electronic Engineering degree in Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.
Ciarán hopes to expand on what his achieved, Ciarán hopes to drive his players, staff and Irish
esports to new heights.
